India Gets Killzone 2 before Rest of the World?

GameGuru.in writes: "Indian gamers were anxiously waiting for the release of Killzone 2, the much anticipated shooter for the PS3. We were expecting Killzone 2 to release in India somewhere around February 27, 2009. But to our surprise, we got Killzone 2 today, i.e. on February 11, 2009. We purchased the official copy of Killzone 2 from a retailer in Mumbai."

Xbox Live Going Free For Grand Theft Auto 4

In celebration of the release of the first Downloadable Content for Grand Theft Auto 4, Microsoft has announced a week free of multi-player for Grand Theft Auto 4. The experience will give players the chance to play for a total six days, all together - no more or less.

The deal will start from 9 AM on February 17 and continuing until midnight of February 22 for only players with the ability to access Xbox Live.

The company has planned a full slate of Xbox Live events during the time period including a chance to play the game online with members of the development team at Rockstar Games.

GTA IV: The Lost and Damned Live Event Planned

During the week after the anticipated release of The Lost and Damned, gamers will be able to play online for FREE (no Gold account required).

Microsoft announced today an upcoming Xbox Live multiplayer event. Non-subscribers will have the ability to play Grand Theft Auto IV or its downloadable expansion The Lost and Damned online free of charge. This event will run from February 17 - 22.
The activities during the week will include a 'Game with Fame' event with Hip Hop DJ and producer Statik Selektah along with a 'Game with Rockstar' where gamers will be able to take on the developers. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned will release on Xbox Live on February 17 for $19.99.

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack #1 Hits in March

Good news, the first multiplayer map pack for COD: World at War is coming to a system near you in March. We don't have an exact date yet, nor do but we do know if this includes PCs but and we do have the names of the maps and one screenshot of Nightfire (it's Berlin). The three maps are: Nightfire (Berlin in the dark), Knee Deep (Pacific jungle map) and Station (bombed out subway platform).

In addition to the MP maps, the map pack also includes a little zombie update

This new level, named “Verrückt” (Zombie Asylum), splits your team up as you cooperatively battle wave after wave of undead Zombie soldiers. It features new weapons, electroshock defense systems and a Perks-a-Cola machine for purchasing multiplayer PERKS to combat the Zombie horde!

Killzone 2 | Collectors edition will arrive, but why bother Sony?
