Newest iPod Touch Faster Than iPhone 3G
Apple has its eye on the portable-game market and the the iPod Touch’s amped up processing speed could help the company elbow its way in to the lucrative niche. The second-generation iPod Touch’s internal application processor actually runs faster than the processor featured in the iPhone 3G, 532MHz to 412MHz, respectively. Touch Arcade reports that Apple has a buffer space allowing for the possibility of cranking the iTouch speed up to 620MHz, but that speedy processing could compromise the gadget’s battery life.
